EKP’S MARY FRANTZ AMONG 2016 ENTERPRISING WOMEN OF THE YEAR WINNERS

RALEIGH, NC – Mary Frantz, managing partner of Enterprise Knowledge Partners, LLC (EKP), was recently named by Enterprising Women magazine as one of 2016’s Enterprising Women of the Year. The annual awards are a tribute to the world’s top women entrepreneurs. Honorees were recognized at the 14th Annual Enterprising Women of the Year Awards Celebration & Conference at The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove in Miami, Florida. “I was totally humbled to be a part of the group at the International Symposium,” Frantz said. “I wouldn’t have placed myself anywhere near this group. It was an honor and a crossing over for a minority woman like me who bootstrapped her own company.” To be considered for the Enterprising Women of the Year Awards, nominees must demonstrate that they have fast-growth businesses, mentor or actively support other women and girls involved in entrepreneurship, and stand out as leaders in their communities. Frantz built EKP, a management consulting services firm focused on IT, security, compliance, and electronic discovery, from a the ground up. The firm is now frequently utilized by some of the top companies in health care, financial services, manufacturing, energy and more. Today, Frantz is able to share her experiences as both a single mother and a woman in the male-dominated technology world as an inspiration to a new generation of young women. She mentors girls and minorities in technical and robotic fields and encourages them to take advantage of every opportunity. “When I work with young women, it sounds weird, but I just encourage them to show up,” Frantz said. “Young people don’t like to show up places where their friends aren’t. But you make yourself a leader by showing up, and others will follow.” About Enterprise Knowledge Partners, LLC EKP was created in 2004 and is based in Minneapolis, Minn., with both a national and international presence.
